On 9/11/2000 -- I was in Berkeley, CA.
I'm not sure why you are interested in that, though. Most people would want to know where I was on 9/11/2001 -- and the answer to that question is Boston, MA when the planes hit and Cambridge, MA (teaching a class at MIT) later in the day.

9/11/01 i was at school. i first heard about the crash there. i thought it was just one plane... like a little amateur plane... and all i had heard was, "did you hear about the plane that crashed into the building?" i asked for more info about it but the person didn't know any more about it... so i thought it was like, an amateur plane that crashed in some dinky food store or something in some rural city... i had no idea what it really was. i spent half the day cynically saying things like, "why's everyone getting so worked up over a stupid little plane crashing into a building?" i thought that there couldn't be more than 5 people who got hurt... possibly the amateur pilot would have died, i thought, but i wasn't hurt about the thought of a dumb guy dying for doing something that stupid. when i realized what had truly happened, i regretted so much that i had been so dumb and insensitive about it. it really hit me when i was walking by a magazine stand, and there was this picture of a lady standing there, covered in ash. i thought she was dead... to this day i'm not sure whether she was or not. but it reminded me of Pompeii and how so many people there were entombed in ash... i just went home and cried that day, thinking of all that had gone on and the horror of it all...

Palm Springs, California. Sucks just as bad as New York City. And I'm from New York. I can't decide which of the two sucks more. Hm. Sounds like a fancy building or corporation; The Suckmore. Or ... Suckmore Fiduciaries!

If you meant where was I on 9-11-01, I was getting ready for work. In fact, was somewhat late because I was dumbfounded by what I saw on tv. When I got to work, other employees were wrapped around the tv, tears just pouring. The entire day was very somber.

Good question!
I bet other than those with birthdays or anniversaries and such around that date would not remember.
We only remember that day in 2001 because of the terrible things that occurred. Maybe we should start to remember days for the life that we have been blessed with....our loved ones we can still cling to...and our freedom.

The year was actually 2001 but I was in geometry class when it happened. Another teacher came in the class to tell us what happened but I didn't really realize what happened until the next class when my English teacher had the radio on and we heard what happened. I saw the news when I got home and footage of what happened.

I had just come home from walking my son to school and heard about the first plane hitting the tower and I was home watching the news when the second plane hit and the pentagon got hit. My son was in second grade and my daughter was in preschool at the time

New York City, 5 miles from the Towers, at work, watching, from our office window, as the Towers crumbled to the ground, and wondering if my ex-boyfriend survived. I kept dialing his office number. He survived! I still have his "office number," on my bulletin board. Everyone in our office was crying. The worst part was the next day, dead silence, and photos of the missing plastered EVERYWHERE!
