I've been thinking of names and have turned to geography for help :-) Ever been to a city/town and thought "That's a cool name"? I've thought that so I've been looking up names of cities/towns and created a list of ones that would be a good name for a person as well. Tell me what you think of these...be honest...thanks!

Calais is pronounced Cal-lay. Daly sounds more male, Sonora isn't bad, but do you want her nicknamed Sonny all her life? Albany.....nooooo. Hudson is OK, Callao, Hanahan, Rocklin, nooooooo again.

I love Sonora. It sounds beautiful and elegant. It suits a young girl and is still mature.

For a boy I like Hudson but also Callao but it could be because I have a great friend named Cal.

I like Sonora and Rocklin But you don't want your kid coming home from his first Day of school saying "Mommy the kids are teasing me because they said my name is funny!" Try Katlin or Jessica for the girls and Paul or Timothy for the boys!

If you call your child Calais, people will want to pronounce it like the city itself (Kuh-lay).

I quite like Albany, though...
