It's mostly older men but I've seen younger ones too doing the comb over thing taking hair from the opposite side of their heads just above the ear and swooping it over to cover baldness. Today I saw a young guy with a very, I mean VERY bad toupee sitting on top of his head. Do you really believe people can't tell or that it looks better? I don't understand...is baldness really that bad? I've seen lots of nice looking bald men so what gives?

No. I'm balding. Those things are unhygienic. Plus it makes your head look like it's in the grip of a giant spider. Like those guys who do have hair and as a fashion shave all around their heads except the top and a few strands. Same effect.

I'm 42 and going bald. I have lots of hair along the sides and a little "tuft" of hair on top. I went to a barber after I let my hair grow for about 3 months. When he was done I left, went home, and was shocked when I looked in the mirror! The barber had cut my hair and gave me a comb-over! I recombed my hair the way I normally do and took the scissors and cut the extra hair off.
So one problem is the barbers. Guys have to tell the barber "NO COMBOVER". As for toupees...I have yet to see a good one.
Balding is beautiful! My wife of 20 years loves my balding head and still thinks I'm sexy.
The only thing I miss about my hair is the padding it use to give me....I hit my head alot!

Being bald is preferable to a comb-over or a "rug", which are as phony as a $3 bill. Also, if the guy is unlucky, and sneezes at the wrong time, his rug could fall into his soup. I think they're trying to look young with their comb-over or "rug".

hey i'm only 26 and i'm not going bald but that's the way i keep my hair most of the time... i like being bald so yeah i wonder the same thing

women are programmed to repond in favour of virile men.
what some guys dont realise is that women will often prefer a baldy to a man with a ridiculous rug on top of his head.
