Fun games for a 6yr old birthday party?

Any ideas for some fun and easy games for a 6yr old birthday party? (boys & girls)

musical chairs, red light green light, treasure hunt, mini olympics with a three legged race , wheel barrow race, water ballon toss. Hand out ribbons to winners.

Try these:

Pin the tail on the donkey (not much needed, easy to play)

What is in the bag? (Put some items in paper bags and pass them around, let the kids guess what is inside without looking.)

Going on a bear hunt (tell a story, crossing fields, streams, caves, etc. with sound effects, and running back through them quickly after finding the bear.)

The sick cat (like tag, but whoever gets touched by the "sick cat" becomes sick as well, and must help catch other players. The last person not sick is it for the following round.)

Charades
For my cousin's 6 year old bday, the kids danced around with balloons. Might wanna try that. It really works!

Have a puppet show, play with bubbles, stuff like that.

my daughter just had her 6th b-day party and i was all "themed" out.. and did NOT want to have another(2) Dora party....so we had a costume party. all the "guests" dressed up or down however they wanted. we played duck duck goose (i know.. so original.. but they loved it) you could play freeze tag or red rover.. it all depends upon how many kids show. you could even have a best dressed competition and award prizes for different costumes.

the best games are the ones where you can just let the kids go...like decorating cookies or cupcakes, or doing playdoh. it keeps the kids occupied for quite awhile--the only downside is the cleanup.
