the women is speaking to her husband at the start and throughout the beggining of the film. so at what point does it change? at the end she is in the apartment with him but she isnt really?!?! somebody must understand it.

okay, to clarify: the woman actually died in the car crash, and so did the police officer (when she fell off her motorcycle). that's why the are the only one's who can see silent hill. that's why when the husband went there with the police officer to look for them, they only saw a run down city, and not what the main character lady was seeing. but he could sense her, which means she was there, but in another dimension so to speak. play the video game, it'll make more sense.

No they are still sucked into the whole silent hill thing. When Alessa looked at Sharon at the end she possessed her again. There are like four games so there should be four movies, you will learn more in the next one. If you have any questions go get the game.

I must admit, I don't understand it either. My boyfriend and I watched it and at the end, we were like "umm okay. I don't get it." Lol I hope someone can explain it though. I guess I should have watched the special features.

From what i understood from my husband b/c i forced myself to go to sleep during it b/c it was so gross and disturbing...was that she existed in a different dimention then real live people. She, her daughter and the officer actually died in the car crash but instead of dying as we know dying they went into this icky icky dimention. Sure hope that cleared it up :)
