I would think , that, like the thousands of other creatures, yes, we
deserve it. However, no we are not treating the gift of the planet well, and are not only killing it, ourselves, but all the other creatures as well.
North Amercian indians had no concept of land " ownership " when the horde arrived - they clearly stated that they were borrowing the land from their grandkids.... Now, the corporate world in NA not only is stealing from their grandchildren, they are ruining the world for their own kids...

It's a tough one. We are a product of the planet, and when it's had enough of us it will undoubtedly end our existence or curtail the damage we can do to it.
