I would think , that, like the thousands of other creatures, yes, we
deserve it. However, no we are not treating the gift of the planet well, and are not only killing it, ourselves, but all the other creatures as well.
North Amercian indians had no concept of land " ownership " when the horde arrived - they clearly stated that they were borrowing the land from their grandkids.... Now, the corporate world in NA not only is stealing from their grandchildren, they are ruining the world for their own kids...

Yes, because some people actually enjoy it and take advantage of the planet in a good way. It is just inevitable that some people are going to use something in a negative way.

Jealous people live on a planet where everyone has more than they do.
Fascists live on a planet occupied mainly by scum.
Teenagers live on a boring planet.

Yes, it was the creation made for humans. But as the thousands of years have passed by, it seems like humans don't give a darned about the creation given to them.

It's a tough one. We are a product of the planet, and when it's had enough of us it will undoubtedly end our existence or curtail the damage we can do to it.

i don't think we do, because of all that we do to destroy it just for some ephemeral good. we're literally living in paradise and we don't even realize it.
