clearing the history is not the complete process for taking care of this which is what most people will tell you
do the following and you will have no worries
open your browser
click tools-internet options-clear history-set days to keep history to 0-click delete files-click settings-set amount of disk space to use to 1mb-hit ok-now click the content tab-then auto complete-then clear forms-you can uncheck all the things you dont want your browser to store that way you wont have to keep comming back and doing all this.
good luck

If you are at a large company with an IT Security department, it's likely that you will not be able to cover your tracks at all. In my workplace, no internet cache is stored locally. But records are kept of all pages visited.

Tools/Internet Options/Clear History...
Delete the cookies and Files (off line too) while you are at it.
I believe the Server, if applicable, can trace but you cannot do anything about that in most cases....
