If you only have 11 days, definitely alter the dress. You don't have enough time to alter you. You don't want to be fainting from hunger at the ceremony or having the dress rip at the reception. Your health is too important to do some crazy crash diet.

Drink water. Go on a fast, and hope that your wedding planner has things handled from this point on, so you don't have to make any mind blowing decisions in your altered state of consciousness. Look up "The Master Cleanse" It's a cleanse where you eat nothing. You drink a water drink infused with lemon juice, cyanne pepper, and grade b Molasis. I hear if you stay on it the whole time, your body will adjust. Of course, take your vitamins. I know 4 people who have done this cleanse, and not cheated, and lost up to around 30 lbs. I think the reccomendation is that you do it for 9-30 days. I know people who did it for 45 days too. If you need more info, I have the book at home. It was printed in the 70's. Good luck.

get a tub of ben and jerry's, lock yourself in your room, and cry! no, jk, altho some ppl really would. there's no sense in crying over it. are you absolutely 100% positive it is non-refundable? i know you are probably in a budget, but see if you can buy one online - - i know, it's your wedding, and there is no dress that can be bought online, blah blah blah, but think about it? would you rather settle for a dress, or wear some blue jeans and a shirt while everyone else looks heavenly? do some online shopping, it might be a little big, but it will suffice, then sell the other one immediately! make some money off of it! because, there might be some other poor sap that's in the same situation you are and looking for the perfect dress!

I would do a serious diet, like Atkins where it is possible to lose 10 pounds in a week. I've actually done it. If it is way to small, take it to a seamstress and have an adjustment, they can actually insert more material.
