I don't know if I'm a sissy or what, but that movie scared the crap out of me!

I didn't find the movie very scary. I thought it was more shocking and disturbing. For instance, the attack on the trailer scene just sort of "hit the audience in the face" with violence. It starts out with the dad being set on fire, then the mother is killed, the daughter is raped, the other daughter is killed, and they point a gun at the baby. These are things that are just shocking and disturbing things that no one wants to see. I thought it was filmed well, and I liked the evolution of the son-in-law from a pacifist to a man who is only concerned with saving his child no matter what violence must ensue.

Weak and watered down remake with very poor direction and plot triggers.

That family had to be the most inane family on the planet. Here is just one example. Remember the rape scene in the trailer? OK...how did the mom wake up and leave the trailer without seeing that? Huh? And then the boyfriend goes into the trailer to get the extinguisher right? OK, how did he not see the rape and the two thugs inside? Huh?

Very weak. The boyfriend character also turns from a weak idiot into a smart and strong superhero at the end. I don't think so.

Very disappointing. Should have never been made.

I know 70's horror film look-alikes are all the rage now, but they are not being done right. Wolf Creek was another horrendous example of terrible direction and plot tuning.

Last good films in this genre were: House of 1000 Corpses and its sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake), and Dawn of the Dead (remake)

Best recent horror films: Saw and Saw II by far. Those two films rank in the top 25 (Saw in top ten) all-time. Hopefully Saw III (this October!) can live up to the first two.

Best horror film of all time? Halloween. Do yourself a favor. Watch Halloween and then its sequel, Halloween II, immediately after. Both films are really one film split in half. Watch both together to get the full effect!

Have fun!!!
