Almost sounds better to buy a new pc. But possibly the best place to gather those prices is EBAY.com. We can't give you an estimate without knowing more details about the items you want/need.

If you are into building your own computer, shop at newegg.com or tigerdirect.com for the lowest prices. A new mobo can run between $50 and $100s. A processor, between $ 70 and $1000s. Memory cost depends on Mb size. If you get a decent mobo, the soundcard will be integrated into the mobo.

you didn't say WHAT video card. . HOW much more ram (and what type and speed of RAM). . etc. .

the motherboard is what is the major pain here. . it's expensive and it's a royal pain to put in. .

if you're going to put all that in, it might be cheaper (and a whole lot less trouble), to just go buy a new computer from Fry's or Worst Buy . .

Just get a new computer, you will be better off and probably end up spending less.
