No. The 2004 season lifted the curse. The majority view is that the only curse that still persists in Major League Baseball is on the Cubs. A minority of wizards attribute the 48 year drought of the San Francisco Giants to a disgruntled Giant fan into the occult at the Polo Grounds in 1957, but this has not been confirmed. The goat curse on the Cubs is documented according to Stewart O'Nan, Stephen King's co-author on the book Faithful (See page 400).

The 2004 Red Sox perhaps had the best chemistry of any team ever in baseball history. Just last year the White Sox were a force to be reckoned with so they swept us. But this year was all injuries, remember when we had Wakefield, Nixon, and Varitek, we had a 12-game winning streak. So curse is not the word, but bad luck is more like it.

There was no mistake....The Red Sox Reversed the Curse in 2004....however, this year was a year of injury and a bunch of theoretical and philosophical questions. They are just like the Pats were last year. All the good players were hurt. The young kids dominated this year....this is like a transition year. Plus, if you're a TRUE Sox fan...you know one thing is absolutely certain: "It ain't ova til it's ova!"

No the curse was reversed in 2004. It is now on the Yankees. They will not win a WS for a looooong time!!!!!!1

I think the Babe was sleeping at the end of '04,either that or he had 1 too many hot dogs and was busy nursing his upset stomach!! Hopefully the curse will continue or maybe start anew with the Yankees acquisition of Johnny Damon!! We'll call it the "curse of the idiot" (I mean no disrespect...I love the guy!)

They are NOT cursed. They just have injury and pitching problems. They will win the world series next year.
