1 428 grams = 3.1482011 pounds
Type 1428 grams to pounds into the Google search box, it works as a calculator.

Mine weighed 730 grams at birth, just over eight years ago. (One pound nine ounces). She is fine, no deficits. She is one of the best players at the chess club, and swims like a fish, she reads at near adult level, is off at karate right now.
But looking back on that time when she was in premie ICU, WOW, I don't know how I got through it. I still cannot watch the TV programs showing premies. I hope you are breastfeeding or pumping breast milk as this is even MORE necessary for the premies.
Take this advice: When the child comes home, arrange to have someone come in and help out for the first three or four weeks. You will need it. You will need to be trained in pedi/neonatal CPR, and you should arrange for any potential child care people for him/her to also take it.
While you are awaiting his/her arrival at home, find the websites with premie clothing and buy some. Not too many though, but it makes you feel SO good when they outgrow something.
It is a scary time, I know, but take good care of yourself at this time also, and in a few years (it goes by SO fast) you will be able to look back on it as a distant memory.
