Persons who are of the maturity of boys will lie about sex. Real men do not lie about sex; in fact, they do not speak of it in mixed company or disrespectfully.

Sex needs to be seen as a very private thing between a man and a special lady that he loves. Not a peep of a word would escape the bedroom.

It's unfortunate that you have run into typical boys who like to brag about things they can only imagine; that they can only wish for. They are too self-absorbed to understand what damage they do to others. Avoid these type of males; do not approach them; conduct yourself as beyond reproach and others will see that those like these are lying, and they will lose respect & credibility in the eyes of others.

People like these are common and come & go like the wind.

Surround yourself with men and women of character, and this type male person will not be able to gain any ground; he will not be able to hurt you.

There is no point - unless you call PRIDE a point...

It's not pure evil in the sense of maliciousness. There is tremendous pressure on men (especially young men) to have sex if they are dating. There is a perception that if they have not had sex with their girlfriends, they are either p****whipped, or (gasp! horrors!) 'gay'!

So when questioned by other guys about the relationship, they feel obligated to affirm their enquiries about 'doing it', even when they know that it is untrue.

If there is evil at work here, it is the societal evil of the peer pressure put on young men to act as 'studs', and not the individual evil of the young man who committed the falsehood.

In all likelihood, he did not mean harm to you or your reputation when he said what he did, he was merely trying to avoid teasing or social scorn and damage to his own reputation that would have come from telling the truth.

Basically, it comes down the fact that men are immature jerks, and I'm continuously amazed you women put up with us at all.

You know what hon, you hit on it. It's all about his ego and the fact that he can puff his chest out and say he did something when he didn't. And because he surrounds himself with other ego driven people, they are even bound to believe it. Your best bet is to distance yourself from him and his type and try to find someone who is honest and caring. It may be hard to believe right now, but they do exist, if you take the time to look for them. You deserve better than that, but I think you know that! Good luck, honey, and God Bless!

Well that is a really bad lie, I would never say that I slept with somebody if I didn't. It says more about the liar than anything.

I think many men lie in order to get sex. They shouldn't do that either.

It's because of the ego and guys think that is what makes them more of a man or "cooler". But only to other guys. To girls it just makes them seem like jerks.

That question I have yet to get an honest answer.. but think about it.. if they are lying to begin with. The first time it happened to me.. it was a cop that told his room mates he was sleeping with me. And that was not the case. We were playing backgammon tournaments. Which made it hard when I liked his room mate..

I did date the room mate and told him the truth. I think they have insecurity hang ups and want to make themselves look good to get the girl. Of course at our expense.. Which I didn't appreciate.

Men, and that term is used lightly in regards to this, think they have certain expectations to live up to. Should he have not "got lucky" with you he still feels like he has to save face to others, you not accepting his sexual advances is a huge blow to his ego.

Should he be saying these things to *you* then, sorry but, he's just a sick puppy and a pathological liar.

Not all men lie about sex. I don't. The one you're referring to may indeed be an evil or self-centered guy; he may've been rejected and wants to take revenge. Can you ask him or get someone to ask him for you?

Because his ego will not allow him to be truthful. Don't fall victim to this jerk twice. Move on. the best revenge is to look hot and be happy.
