The only way you'll ever know if someone constantly watched you themselves or a video camera while you sleep your whole lifetime (from the day you are born 'till you die). Since that will never be the case, this sounds like one big, dumb fib.

I don't know if it is true or not, but if I was the test subject for that study, I'd be pissed. "What the heII you mean I swallowed a spider? You watched while it crawled down my throat? You didn't feel the need to get it before I ate it? What the heII is wrong with you people? I'm gonna sue!!"

Cant be true. I only eat spiders when I'm awake. I like them deep-fried with West Indian Pepper Sauce (Escona brand)

Most likely they take into account the insects and spiders that inevitably fall into foods and foodstuffs in the processing of them. Such as canned foods, dried foods, cocoa, those kinds of things.

Apparently, there was a women who had "given birth" to spiders after one had went crawling somewhere it shouldn't have been and laid eggs during the night.

I hear it is 12....
It is not so much "eat" as "ingest"... perhaps you eat one, inhale another... maybe one crawls into your mouth, up your nose, etc. But most of these spiders are so small, you can barely see them with the naked eye...
Sleep well...

I hear it's more like 7 spiders a YEAR...but I totally refuse to believe it. I mean REALLY...don't you think you might find a leg or something stuck in your teeth? Spiders creep me out.
