My spouse watches the soaps (honest guv, not me!). If possible, please give an example of a happy storyline.

I havent seen a happy storyline in ages, well if anything turns out well like Billy and Honey finally getting married - Happy time! Honey giving birth to a baby with downs syndrome and she doesn't want it anymore - Unhappy! it never quite stays happy for long!
That's why i don't watch it anymore, i just get catch up episodes at work

I have to agree it is the most depressing program on tv and should be banned.

Don't know - I don't watch anything that doesn't interest me. It's why theres an on and off switch! If you don't watch it how do you know the story lines??
