Depo is essentially a hormone and can mess up your system in many ways.... I had similar symptoms to what you are experiencing, along with a lot of mental ones that eventually led to my decision to stop having the injection. I now have an IUD and it is much better for my situation, although it has side effects as well. Talk to your doc about an alternative if it is really bothering you, there is no harm in not taking the rest of the injections, other than the risk of pregnancy.

I have been on the shot for years, to the point now I get no period. There are probably 20 side effects that can effect you on Depo. Keep a diary as to when you have your cramps...is it just before or after your shot? How long have you been on it, if you are new to it you may just be adjusting to the hormone changes. 2 weeks before I get my shot I become so moody and miserable that everyone knows when I am due. Good luck.

I tried that shot and it messed me around too. I know that it is convenient to take this type of BC but it has serious side affects that affect some women more harshly than others. It made me bleed for a straight two months. It was horrible.

Stop having premarital sex and you won't have to inject poisons into your body.
