America spends more than it can afford. That's the main issue.
First on a personal level: credit card reports show that an average american spends 1.5 dollars for every dollar he makes. This is one recipie for disaster; if the trend continues it will finally lead to total economic collaps.
And second the government consistently spends more that it can afford (national debt). This is the second recipie for disaster; in this situation US needs to make sure that is the most powerfull country in the world, so nobody will ask them to pay their debt. And this, of course, leads to more millitatry spending and an even greater debt. And it leads to war every once in a while to prove that power.

1. Illegal Aliens
2. Liberals
3. Poor education that can't keep up with the rest of the world.
4. Citizens with no political savvy; they don't know their rights.
5. Whiners with the "slave" or "plantation" attitude as exibited by the entitlement mentality. All you are owed is the rights of the constitution and "... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." It doesn't mean that I have to provide it for you; it says that YOU have to pursue these things FOR YOUR SELVES!
Where has good old fashioned American self reliance gone?
6. Crooked and lazy politicians on both sides of the aisle.
7. Naievte' about the real Islamofacist threat to this country and our way of life. These monsters are real, people...you'd better wake up and start believing it!
8. Taking prayer out of schools and replacing it with condoms and "alternate lifestyle" training.
9. American Christians being afraid to speak out for their faith because they don't want to appear as bigoted or not "politically correct." PC is for wimps; if our forefathers were "PC," we never would have taken on the British for fear of hurting their feelings!
10. People more willing to criticize this great nation than they are to defend it to keep it strong.

Education...More people know all the names of the Seven Dwarfs are than any of the 9 Supreme Court justices.
Our govt' will not work without an educated voter.

-Politicians who believ in spin doctoring & not telling the truth
-Legal system that is ruled by the lawyers who run circles around laws based on technicalities
-Parents do not have the rights to discipline their kids for fear accusations of abuse
