Yes especially when it was on the news this morning that the price of wholesale gas has dropped 30% in last 4 months. What happens with the poor and elderly when they have a choice of Eat or Heat

It isn't GETTING out of hand, IT IS ,out of hand. I am dreading this winter, I will be frightened to put the heating on, my Direct Debits for gas and electric are already double what they were last year, and another rise is on the way, I think it is something like 17%, how can people on fixed incomes keep up with that ????

Yes when i moved to cyprus i realised how much they rip us of!! We have gas bottle it last about 3months and cost £5, Electric cost about £15 inc a/c and water is £7 a month.

yes but at some point there is going to be a price war and that will be good news for consumers for a while. but only untill the companies which can't survive are out of the picture

If you mean natural gas, yes. Our heating bill was more than we could affrod last year. And this year supposed to go up another 30%. What are we gonna do? Guess we will have to use extra clothing and heavier blankets.

Yes, it is ridiculous. You change supplier to what you believe to be the cheapest and then..wooomph ! They are the most expensive, there is obviously great profit to be made from energy sales, strange that my current supplier is Electricite de France.
I just love the free market don`t you ?
