It should depend on how much you're earning now. If you already take home $250k, then $270k definitely is not big money for you, but surely you're eyeing for $500k and above. On the other hand, if you're only earning $30k now, $50k would be a good "Big Money". It is the same concept as "utility".

I would be pleased to make all of the above (I should be making a little under 50 in a yr)...but I have to say at least 100k to make me happy :o).
