I am very good at running the 8x100 relay..but i am also really good at running the 2 miles. the coach wants me to run the relay but i want to run the 2 miles. track season is next semester..but im still very worried!!

You are allowed to do up to four events. Why won't the coach let you do both? I'm thinking that the coach needs you do the relay more than he needs you to do the 2 mile and wants you to put all of your energy into the relay. I'm surprised though, because most teams have a shortage of good 2 mile runners.

Cant you do both? it also depends if you have a good distance team if not the 2 mile might be good but just do what ever you think will help the team the most.

I ran the two mile in high school go for it both is to much

If you can race the 2 miles you can do anything.

i know what you mean. i have the same dilemma. i'm so mad!! theres only like 15 minutes rest while the 4x100 metre relay goes on!! but i know guys who ran them both and won conference in both though. so i donno. i'd do both if i was you
