I am missing my checks that were mailed to me, and bills. I have not recieved mail since the saturday before labor day and my job mailed my check out on the tuesday after labor day. Since my check comes usually the next day or the day after I assumed the company didn't mail it , I have checked checked and double checked and it had been mailed. I have to pay for a stop payment and I am now behind on all my bills b/c of the lost check, among other bill disasters! I complained to the post office only to be told they didn't find my mail and apoligize for the bad service as they have been behind, late as 6pm w/ mail, and delivered mail to the wrong places (I have recieved others mail, or a mail box full b/c of late delivery). Where can I complain to get some results other than my local post office. My kids b-day is thursday and I have no money to buy his presents thanks to this screw up mail person. Please help!

On the main page at USPS.com there is a "Contact us" link at the bottom. That will enable you to contact Washington, DC but I would suggest contacting your local Postmaster first.

You report it to your local postal office and if nothing is done on that end then you go to the state postal office. Also report to the place that you get your checks from to make sure that they were mailed out.

You file a complaint with your local postmaster general. Call any post office and they can give you your local number.

Call any post office and ask how to contact an inspector.
