I do`nt think there is anything wrong with the Partnership of McClaren and Venables. Why oh WHY, can you not give them a chance, instead of coming down on them with your size 14 boots

It would have been Phil Scolari, but that's not going to happen. Actually, as an outside bet, I wondered if Martin O'Neill might have gone for it. He's intelligent, knows the British game and is a very clever man-manager. McLaren is too much of a plodder for me. Cleverer international defences and attacks will suss his "Wimbledonesque" work-rate game out quickly.
