A wedding ring means little to a man. He wears is because she wants him to. It is a way to control him, or so women think. So by removing it, he is making a statement that she can not control him. In the world of cheating, a ring means nothing. Look at the questions here from women who are knowingly cheating with a married man. Thinking that making your man wear a ring is going to keep him faithful is stupid.

Yikes. Either he really is done with this marriage or he is attempting to manipulate you by showing just how serious he is.

My husband has never, ever removed his wedding band, despite some very dark days in our marriage.

I, on the other hand, have. I guess I really feel done, like I have no desire for round 3. I just get sick of having the same unresolved issues and honestly would be relieved if he just walked at those times.

So...I am sorry you're going through it. The thing with marriages is: Don't cheat and don't leave. The rest works out. We've come through some very, very bad times. Amazingly today is better than ever. We really had to stop and hear each other and solve some problems between us with action plans that worked. Maybe you two will be okay too.

I am hoping he does not cheat and is not immature. I can't tell your ages or history, so it is hard to reply. Either way, we're pulling for you guys.

Because women are more materialistic than men(sorry for this stereotype, but it is true). The marriage is more important than the ring. And he knows it will get on your nerves. If you take off the ring, are you still married? It is just a good way to push your buttons.

My husband NEVER takes his ring off during an argument. This is just a ploy to get a rise out of u. It's his way of controlling u by using his ring as a weapon against your emotions.

It is not easy just for husbands. My wife and I got into it three weeks ago, she took hers off, and still has not put it back on even though I have asked her to. Mine has NEVER been off since the day she put it there. It's just a personality flaw, male and female.

Well, I used to remove it because once all was said and done we were going have great make up sex, and I didn't want her love juices all over the ring :)

It shouldn't be easy for him to take it off even if you are fighting. My husband never takes his off no matter how bad a fight we have.

because he's not as committed to the relationship as you want him to be. If he's not already sleeping with someone else, he will be soon. If you're not getting divorced and he is still sleeping in your bed he should be wearing his ring...if he refuses to because you had a little spat...he's on his way out- either leading someone else to believe he is already single or preparing to divorce you.

Because it is a childish mind game. If you are into retaliation...after a fight you take yours off and get all dolled up and leave...even if you go and sit in your car parked somewhere, he will get the picture.

Because it doesn't always mean the same thing to men as it does to woman. It also looks to the world like he is single.
