Do I think our troops should still be in Iraq now well the answer is yes. I have been here twice now and if only people could see what I have seen then they would see the good things that we have done for the Iraqi people and their country. The insurgents are the only one s that don't want anything to change because they are the ones that want to have con-troll here not the Iraqi people themselves. Like others have said we have gone to far to turn our back on Iraq now so me must stay, finish, and fulfill our promise to the country of Iraq.

i think that our troops should not still be fighting in Iraq. the first thing we should have done was made a clear plan of what we are going to do and how long we should stay in Iraq. It has been over 3 years? since we first went in and now its been too long

Yes and No. Our troops shouldn't be there but it would be unethical to leave now. We've taken Iraq's government away and bombed the place to smitherines. Now, we must set them up again. However, USA will never leave until Iraq has a government in place that is friendly to the USA and somehow, we have control of or a major payoff from their oil. And you thought we went there just out of the goodness of President Bush's lil' ol' heart?

No, and they should NEVER have been sent there in the first place. My mind is boggled by the cynical and utterly coldblooded way that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeldt and Company have used the spectre of a "dangerous Iraq" to rally our nation around their ever-downward spiraling program of fiscal abuse and socio-political mismanagement of the United States. How long will the rallying cry of "9/11" and "War on Terrorism" be used to justify every foul betrayal of the country's trust, treasury, and human and natural resources?

YES.All we hear about in the press is all the death and destruction! They never report the good things.A friend of a friend has reported that children are back in school, women are now working, and not wearing birka's any more. The people are receiving aid. Iraq will never be a "VACATION" destination due to the few religious extremists but if we can make even a small difference i think it is well worth it!!

No. I think that we need to get out of Iraq. If we gradually pull troops out over a period of time and don't send anymore over, less troops would be getting killed and the Iraqi government would have to take care of itself and quit depending on U.S. troops so much as I think they do now.

Although I didn't completely agree with the war, we can't pull out now. It will be considered a victory for the Iraqi's as well as the Muslims. It will be just like the Spanish Armada when England, the smaller fleet, destroyed them. After England had destroyed that, they believed they could conquer Spain itself. I believe this would be a repeat in history, and that the Iraqis would believe the same.

Definitely, fighting for stability in iraq will help iraqi government maintain closer ties with us for future establishment of a military base in the region and possible oil exports. We are at a point of no return, iraqi cannot defend themself without U.S help.

Yes, because freedom isn't free! It's sad that many have died, and probably will continue to die, serving their country; however, when the men and women signed up to be in the armed forces they knew that they may be putting their life on the line.

It's tiresome hearing that Bush killed them or it's Bush's fault. If we never have went to war, and buckled down on national security, another tragedy like 9/11 probably would have happened already. God Bless our Troops and God Bless America!
