Do you hate it or do you like it?
For me, it's ok. I've got my likes and dislikes about the place. I don't shop there anymore.
I'm a Greaser. I could get my clothes anywhere. I buy my Levi's 505s at Mervyn's and My Chuck Taylors at Foot Locker.

It's upsetting sometimes to see younger people pay $60.00 for a pair of ill-fitting pants I could have made with 10.00, but I can't complain. When I was younger I claimed that the albums and fashions I enjoyed should be available to everyone. Now lots of them are.
I do wish that some of the focus would switch back to participation. When you can run out and buy a Meteors shirt anywhere, part of the thrill of trading your favorite jacket at a basement show is nullified. Those are some of the most fun memories I have.

I like to get shirts there. All the times I've been there the employees are all polite and helpful and their prices are decent.
I think most of the bagging on hot topic is usually from the pathetic fanboy crowd. They view themselves as some kind of counter-culture elitist and can't stand that someone else is muscling in on their beloved "scene". Basically ignore the whiners and just do your own thing.

I barely go in "Hot Topic", but the one time that I did, I saw a couple of really nice things. I'd probably shop there if the place didn't scare me so much. lol. :-)

They have some OK stuff but I don't like having to go in there to get it. I think it was probably cooler before it hit every mall in America.

i like hot topic they have nice accesories some of their clothes are a bit trashy but i like there t-shirts and jackets

I think it's sold-out. Hot Topic used to be more unique, but now it's just as trendy as the other stores.

It's depressing just to walk in, but that's how some people like it. I have no idea why.
