yep had that ,and dye pumped into the veins ,but the cystoscopy dont hurt ,well just a little pinch,it makes you feel as if you will wet urself ,and you will feel the camara inside slidding over what feels like internal bumpy skin ,but its not bad ,the only other little pinch u feel is when they pull it out again,it all takes about 5/10 mins ,thats all ok nothing to worry about, they wash you down there with really hot liquid to sterilise ,that hurts the most ,other than that its fine .
all the best ,,,kat.

I had exploritory surgery in april. They used a camera to go through the uretha and into the bladder and also looked up in to the Ureter ( tube that carried the urine down to the bladder from Kidney). It wasn't painful during the procedure, but once the anesthetic wore off I kind of felt like I had a urinary tract infection. I was given medication to treat this though and only had to take the meds twice before everything felt 'normal' again. Hope this helps a little and best wishes to your friend.

I have looked after many patients who have had Cystoscopy. You are given sedation, so you wont be aware of it being done and will have no recollection of it afterwards.
You may find it difficult or slightly uncomfortable to pass urine the first time you have to, but the key is to drink plenty of fluids afterwards to keep everything well flushed. The less concentrated your urine is, the less likely it is to irritate your urethra.

In his way Stalin was another Hitler, and Stalin lasted longer in power, and died of old age, still in power. Stalin was in charge of Soviet Russia, a very powerful nation. Since that time there have been several dictators in charge of nations which have had wide influence, e.g.Ghaddafi in Libya (small nation by population, but big influence because of oil), Mao Tse Tung in China and Saddam Hussein in Iraq (oil, again, and look at the chaos in Iraq since he was deposed). Nobody can predict the future, but I would not be surprised to find a dictator in a similar position to Hitler at some time.

It is even worse for males since they have a longer urethera. Doctors just use a local anesthetic and it really doesn't hurt. If someone needs it they should get it without sweating the details.

I had it done when I was 9 years old, it is not painful the moment they are doing it, it hurts after wards, she will be in pain for about 6 hours, it feels like the kind of pain you get just bfr your period, so nothing major, she'll be ok good luck!

I stings and burns a little but I really wouldn't call it painful. It is over really quick and is useful in finding a resolution to the problem. Tell them Don't be afraid it really isn't that bad.
