Can you grow carrots indoors, my daughter loves the carrots with the tops on them but I can't find any in the stores.

I suppose you could if you had them near a window. Carrots are short day, cold weather plants (down South they are grown in fall and winter). I would recommend Chantenay carrots, since they are sweet, easy to grow, and are not as long as other carrots (so you'd need less dirt in some sort of growing bed or container). Just be sure that you don't over-water and cause water damage to floors or furniture. Try growing a few in a window sill and see how it works out. If that works, add to that amount with extra containers. (If you have cats, they may knock over containers because they like to crawl around in the windows.)
