when national/international airplanes were diverted to land outside of American air space with almost 40,000 people from the US & other countries stranded. As usual no American TV media is covering this story.
WHY DO AMERICAN MEDIA, esp. CNN IGNORE IMPORTANT NEWS EVENTS THAT OCCUR IN CANADA, YET HAVE NO PROBLEM PLASTERING NEG. OR WHAT THEY, (most often FOX NEWS) CONSIDER USA BASHING NEWS FROM CANADA?.......
I suppose ignorance is bliss?

It's all about ratings. People are drawn to negative stories, so those are the stories that get told. It's a sad fact that the truth suffers in the process.

It's true - when the Canadian government organised a 'Canada Loves NY Day' five years ago and thousands travelled south to support NY tourism, it got no more press coverage than one of the states which had done something similar.
However some nice Americans have given things like scholarships and videos about the event to the Canadian towns which hosted those who were stranded.

Condaleezza Rice is visting Halifax Canada today to thank Canadians for keeping their troops posted in Afghanistan even though there have already been two incidents where we've killed several Canadian soldiers with our "friendly fire" mistakes.

at least she is trying, when bush thanked the world for all the help after 911 he left Canada out(maybe he is so stupid he thinks that we are part of the us). did anyone else notice she was drinking a Tim's coffee?
