If it is embarrassing to you, then no. I wouldn't. If it doesn't bother you, go ahead. Tell them before you come & see what they say.

Depending on the reason for the visit. If it is a normal routinge visit for a PAP then reschedule; however, if it is for a "problem" thne go. MD's have seen everything and having your period is nothing. If you need to be examined, then they have a large q tip to remove the blood. Just kindly notify the MD you are having yourperiod so that he/ she is prepared. BUT don't even worry about it!!!

Call the doc and ask if they can still do what needs to be done if you're on your period at the time. If not, then reschedule your appointment. If you're having a problem though make sure you tell them you need to be seen ASAP.

From what my doctor has said that it shouldn't be a problem unless you are menstruating heavily..but I'd still go and let the doctor decide, especially since you have been waiting for so long..good luck and God bless

It's not a matter of disgust, but of diagnostic accuracy. Call your doctor and ask what you should do.
Presumably your Gyn has delivered babies, which involves much more blood than a period.

Ask them if there would be a problem seeing you while you have your period. It is not really a matter of disgust but whether or not they can properly diagnose you.

You can see your gyno while you are on your period. There is no big deal, doctors are professional and see this many times.
Don't have issues with yourself, go and don't be embarassed.
Good luck!!!

No, the Pap smear is not accurate while on menses. Call your GYN, they will tell you the same thing.
