...is that 'predetermination' is voided by God's 'foreknowing' of events instead and "God's will" (instead of man's choice/s)
isnt possible if Freedom of Choice is absolute?

You are absolutely right. If god is omni-scient then he must have known what his creation is going to do. But "Free will" is really not there, not even in science. In science we have this concept of "Scientific determinism". But again we can at least choose between a few choices, or is it only wishful thinking?

♥♫♦ Yes Freedom of Choice is a absolute factor of life because with us having freedom to do what we want how would we learn from our mistakes. How would we learn to be independent ? If we did not have mistakes, and making the wrong choices, era, heart ache, pain, and things going wrong in our lives then when would we find the time to talk to God and ask him to make our problems better. Just some food for thought. I hope that I have helped you.♥♫♦

God gave freedom but with liberty and limit. Bottomline we have freedom of choice but on two things only... to do "GOD's will" or do our own will. I believe absolute freedom is not possible and GOD, out of His knowledge and wisdom "foreknows" what man will do with absolute freedom..... destroy himself, and that is not "predetermination".

I hope i understood what you were seeking for.

You cannot justify the existance of God. You cannot prove the existence of God as person. This is why most religions rely upon faith as the basis of their religion.

As a follower of the Tao, I do not require faith as I have experience.

The majority of things in the bible are in fact metaphors and you are attempting to put absolutes where none exist.

Even the "virgin birth" which only appears in one gospel (I beleive it is Luke) stems back to the Greek where there is history of virgin birth mythology and metaphors that have more to do with setting aside one's animal nature to become an evolved human being than a physical occurance. (and even if it was to be taken as a physical occurance, the original word used prior to translation meant a woman who had not bourne a child, having nothing to do with sex only with pro-creation.)

If God predetermined everything, there is no use to live life because there would be no consequence for your actions and nothing makes sense like love, friendship or goals. Its all dictated and scripted. Even yahoo! answers would be a waste of time to do.

gods omnipotence and omniprescence get really confusing when you bring them into the realm of humans (which is the realm of time) god exists beyond time and is not bound by it and to say that our freedom of choice is negated by his non-linear existance is pure ridiculousness yes he knows our choices but we still get to make them its "controlled folly" god has never made any decisions for you only you have it doesnt matter if he knows what you will do your doing it anyway. quit worrying so much if your life was preordained and start living it instead youll find much more enjoyment
