What's the difference between a deodorant and a anti-perperant?

I have been told that anti-persperant actually has a metal that clogs the sweat glands/pores to keep you from sweating. Not good for the long haul as the metal collects at the base of your spine. I have not done the research but I think I might now.

I don't know what a anti-perperant is.

Look at the names:
De - odor - ant
Anti - perspire - ant.

One stops or covers up - odor

The other prevents or reduces - perspiration

Some comination products will do both. I've used deodorants before and still had sweaty arm pits. So the stuff does what it's called.

Deodorant hides the smell. Anti-perspirrant stops you from persriring as much as usual.

What gives you the BO is actually bacteria on your skin living off your sweat.
Deodorant masks the smell of the odours given off by the bacteria.
Anti-persperant clogs your sweat glands so you don't give the bacteria much to feed on. Many Anti-persperants are also scented to mask any smells the bacteria make.

anti pers, has bad aluminum in it and it can cause problems...alsheimers, my gpa died of it... it ain't pretty...i know it keeps you from sweating but most don't even work, i like an all natural deoderant crystal and you still might sweat but no more than with the other stuff and it really really works to keep away odors!!
