Can I use boric acid for the roaches with an infant in the house?

Yes. It's completely harmless to humans, unless you inhale a bunch of it, then it affects you like any other powder.

I'd not recommand it if the child is starting to crawl and even if not right now, in the next few months when he or she starts to crawl, you may forget you had placed the boric acid powder somewhere in the house.
This chemical when ingested by mouth is very very toxic and if it touhes an open wound, it chould be absorbed into the body and cause toxicity also. In the past, people had been treating baby's diaper rash with diluted topical boric acid and even in diluted (3%) form it caused significant toxicity and two deaths (in open skin).
Again, I'd strongly recommand not to use this chemical in your house.

You may use it anywhere the child has no access to. Behind and under the kitchen sink cabinet. Behind the stove. etc. I would not use it in any location where the child would crawl and come in physical contact with it. (Floors, windows, doors, etc.

Only if u use it in corners the baby cant get to, otherwise, I ouldnt recommend it for a crawling baby.
