But then the complaint would be about censorship and secrecy.

The simple answer is YES!
However there are areas of information that the media in general serves the public interest. And it would be a disservice to those men and woman to say they should be restricted in the way they do their job do to the actions of an over zealous nature of a few....
We, the public could do with out the trivial dirt dug up by some. But the info that blows a whistle on the corporate thief or the political jerk taking advantage is needed ...
But if we could get rid of horaldo, and his ilk how good life would be.

That it should be, but it remains not so. Why? Because the media is merely "supplying the demand" and making tons of money on it. We, the people, should take the stand and refuse to buy this garbage. But there are those ignorant, without a life, and with the need to have controversary and sensationalism in their lives that will continue to purchase the magazines, etc. AND actually believe it all! Example: China is actually laughing at us because they are allowed to import automatic weapons to the US. They cannot keep-up with the demand, while our sons, brothers and the like are killing eachother in the streets. Face it, you can't sell what people will not buy. Yet there are companies out there that are actually selling sand to camels!

You'd be better off if you got complete information, rather than changing the quantity of biased or one-sided information presently offered by the media.
