as the other guy said, hours ago, you need to use the other bike
if you remember, back in mauville city (east of the breeding area) there is a shop that hosts two bikes.
one bike, the mach bike, is able to travel fast enough that it can travel over cracks before they break. it is also able to go uphill on paths that have sand moving rather fast, that walking cannot get up.
the other bike, the acro bike, is able to do wheelies (which don't really do anything useful), and bunny hops. hops allow you to move from one place to another, where you otherwise couldn't. such examples are when you need to travel uphill on cliffs. other examples are on thin bridges like you mentioned in your question.
whenever you have one bike, you may trade it to the guy in mauville for the other bike at no cost to you!

Use the Acro Bike. Use B to jump over to other parts of the rail.
