Look at Bush's track record in Iraq and Afghanistan so far. Thousands of Iraqis are killing each other, and the Iraqi parliament is considering a bill to split the country into 3 parts. The Taliban are taking over in Afghanistan again and NATO troops are being slaughtered. Afghanistan now produces more than 92% of the world's opium. And Bin Laden will never be caught. He's living in a province of Pakistan that the Pakistan government just ceded to the Taliban.

If you argue that Bush at least protected US from domestic attacks for 5 years, I must point out that Clinton protected the US from attacks for 7 years. There was no Muslim terrorist attack in the US from the time of the WTC bombing in early 1993, 3 months after Clinton assumed office, until after he left office. The culprits were captured, tried and are in jail for life.
