hydrocodone is a prescribed medication. If you've been taking it under a doctor's care, just tell the testers and show them the bottle with the label on it.
If you have been taking it illegally, shame on you. Traces can be found in the urine for up to 30 days after the last dose.

Difficult answer, to be accurate. Requires alot of math, and a bit of calculus, which I don't know the formula, so I'll do it the long way.
The half-life of hydrocodone is longer than that of cocaine. Cocaine's half-life is only 60-100 minutes. The half-life of Hydrocodone is 4-8 hours. So if you've only taken 4 pills containing 7.5 milligrams of Hydrocodone(this is high strength in a 750 mg pill) then you'll have consumed 30 milligrams. Assume the worst-8 hours. Every eight hours, the amount left in your system will be halved. So in 8 hours you'll half 15 milligrams, 16 you'll have 7.5 milligrams, 24 you'll have 3.25 milligrams, 32 you'll have 1.625, 40-0.8125, 48-0.40635, 56-0.203125, etc...
The Cutoff level for Hydrocodone is 300 ng/mL urine.
The average human has 5 L of blood, or 5000 mL
After 2 days you'll have 812,500 ng in your system. At this point, you should have 162.5 ng/mL in your blood, which is well below the average cutoff point for most drug tests. But in urine, the level is concentrated, as this is where your liver filters toxins to. I'm estimating that a urine test will show closer to 250-300 ng/ML at this time, depending on how much water you've been drinking to flush your liver. Keep in mind I'm assuming the worst.
In order to have 300 ng/mL in your urine, you'll have to have 1.500 mg in your body which is not even a 5th of a pill just before the test. This means you could have taken 12 pills(7.5 mg strength) prior to 48 hours before the test. Taking that amount at one time would kill you.
But, taking it consistantly can seriously raise these levels as the levels build faster than the half-life reduces. If you take say, 4 a day for a couple of weeks, you may fail the test after 30 days of stopping. But keep in mind also that this is a lenient test as well, and some testers don't pay any attention to hydrocodone. But if your tester is serious, he'll look for 150 ng/mL.
