You have to download these programs to make hair and clothes-
simPE from http://sims.ambertation.de/ but firstyou have to download something so that simPE will work as a program. Then you have to download milkshape from http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ so you can make 3d meshes and stuff. You have to look for a good tutorial to learn how to make all these things. It takes a very long time and is very hard to learn to make these things, so you better be ready to commit yourself to do this.

If it's about a Sim you make on your own, every detail is provided. If it's about a Sim of the game, click on the mirror and click on the right choice (e.g. change hairstyle: change hair.)

well,if you build the Sims you re self, you can change the smallest detail . if the Sims you like to change are all ready built , you can click on a mirror in they re house and choose change appearance
or you can buy them a closet for there cloths and click on it and choose the kind of thing you want them to wear

Um, well..... I prefer to download rather then make but you use bodyshop. I know that.
