I know the value of it depends on grade, when I founjd it I had no idea what I had - so I coleaned it off with oven cleaner(which I have since learned is a no-no) it is from Massachussetts.

Since it's been cleaned, you might as well keep it.

Even though you may have lost a lot of money by cleaning it yourself and with all things, oven cleaner. Put it in a bath of baking soda, so to stop any more action from the acids that were in the oven cleaner. Not to long just a 1/2 hour should do it, then rinse with water and pat dry. There are 3 coins it could be with that date. One is the Half Cent and there are 2 varieties of cent. One has a period after Massachusetts the other one has no period. Value depends on condition. You need to see a colonial coin dealer. it should be worth at least $50.00 in poor shape. Lots more in better grades.

1788 coper cent with a period after the word massachusetts worth about 90.00 the same coin with no period after massachusetts is about 100.00 , that is what the red book lists for G condition coins .......yours are probally worth less seing as you cleaned it...........good luck

worth a couple thou maybe a million but now its maybe
worth 90 - 500 bucks i guess
