What I miss the most is going to the skating rink almost everyday and the songs they played! Like, Roxette's "she's got the look" and that song "let's go all the way" lol

The only thing that I miss from the eighties is only having to do my homework and house chores. Being grown up is a pain in the a s s, well besides the fun and boys. lol. Um, I remember my mother dressing me (so it wasn't a mistake on my part) in a poodle skirt (that was from like the 60s or 70s) and green stockings ... with TENNIS SHOES. Horrible!! hahahaha. Um, yeah, I was only 5 but I remember telling my mom how ugly I looked, and how much I wanted to take it off.

Yes, I am an 80's child and miss those day of rolled jeans and better comedies on tv like Family Matters, Full House, etc. I forgot about going to the skating rink but yep, I did that too. The 80's were great!

was born in the late 70's, so was really only a kid when the 80's were going on. I always wanted to be trendy and be like Cyndi Lauper, but there was no way my eight year old self could convince my Mum that dying my hair orange was a good idea. I still love the whole New Wave, New Romantic look, and I've been noticing that some of the 80's styles are coming back IE: skinny jeans with high heeled boots. I told my husband that I was really excited that maybe the whole mesh and lace thing would come back around so I could jump in the trend...Then I realized...I'm 30...If it did come back around, I'd be just as stuffed as when I was a kid...I would've looked ridiculous then, and I'd look ridiculous now....Shame...:-)

I was a teenager in the 80's and there were a lot of things that we did that make us wonder now "what were we thinking?!?"

The BIG BIG hair (I bought Aqua Net by the case!), the leggings, the feathered roach clips that were clipped to EVERYTHING that you owned (when they weren't serving their original purpose), the legwarmers, oh for the love of God, the legwarmers!! Oh, and the Flashdance style sweatshirts, where you would hack up your sweatshirt with a pair of scissors so you could be like, totally, tubular and cool!!

YIKES!! And those are only the things that popped off the top of my head. I'm sure there's a lot more memories I'm just repressing because they're too traumatizing!! =)

I was a teenager in the 80's - and, yeah, I do sometimes miss those days. I miss the big hair & the music - even though now I think it might be silly - lol!

I dont miss it but i look back on it fondly. I vividly remember, leg warmers, collars up, hair bands, big hair, wanting to dance like the Flashdance chick. Doing the popcorn dance to Wham! There is soooooooo much more but i'm scared if i reminise too much i'll wake tomorrow and find myself back there again! I wonder if every generation felt this way. Cause i was there for the 90's too , and it was kind of blah.

I miss sports of the 80s. Basketball players like Bird,Magic and Kareem. They played hard back in the day and one of the greatest point guards back then was Isiah Thomas
