Your cat probably either eats the bits flies typically lay their eggs in before bring the mice in, or brings them in before flies have a chance to lay their eggs! There is nothing "special" about a mouse corpse that would prevent maggots. I have seen many a maggoty mouse!

No, it is more likely that your cat brought them in before the flies found the carcass to lay their eggs.

My cat once found a dead bat, filled with maggots, that it brought to me as a "present". I threw the carcass in the dumpster, and the cat went and retrieved it and brought it back! Had to seal it in a zip-loc baggie so she couldn't smell it and bring it back again!

WHAT? Do you know where maggots come from....sounds like you don't from this question. Maggots are fly larva. A fly has to lay it's egg in or on the dead animal, and once they hatch....you have maggots!
