I was in Greece at the time and I remember my cousin calling me. She asked me if I was near a TV. I said I was. She told me to turn it on. I asked what channel and she said any channel.
I didn't realize what I was seeing. I thought it was a scene from a movie. When I noticed that the screen said "Live from NY" I started screaming. It was horrible. I tried calling friends back home but I couldn't get a line for hours. I still get shivers to this day when I think about it.

I was asleep in my bedroom with a phone next to my bed. My dad, calling from work, told me that the World Trade Center had been hit. He joked sometimes like this, but about a little less serious things, so I thought that he was joking. When I fully woke up, my brother was downstairs watching Dan Rather give a report on the events of that day. As I reached a point where I could see the TV, the second plane hit the tower.
I remember sitting there in disbelief, like "How could this happen here? This is America. This isn't suppose to happen here", and then I was filled with so much anger and rage and hatred that I wish I was there before it all happened so I could kill those terrorists before they killed us.
I was discharged from the Navy 8 months before, so you can understand where the pain and agony for my brothers and sisters who wear the uniform that were lost, and the fear that I felt not only for my family and myself, but for America as well.

I remember as though it was yesterday. I was in my English class at Emmaus High School. Our teacher had on the television, and I thought we were looking at some stupid movie on a book we just finished reading in class. However, it wasn't. It was actual news about the Twin Towers and the Pentagon being destroyed. At first glance, I didn't know what was happening until my aid told me that there were 4 planes being hijacked and decided to crash into the twin towers, pentagon, and somewhere near somerset, Pennsylvania. Our parents called up every family member we knew and made sure all were ok and nobody we knew were on those planes (and fortunatly, nobody in my family was). I've kept the newspaper articles from the Morning Call with pictures of the twin towers being destroyed. I've never thrown any of them out. I just hope we can re-build another world trade center--one much safer than the previous two.

You know typical day for an 10 year old in 6Th grade minding my on business when suddenly before leaving school they gave us a yellow sheet of paper, and said to read it, and take it to your parents. You know, so all of a sudden I read it and there it was I just couldn't understand what I was reading, I just doesn't understand,I said, " what do you mean that the twin towers got hit by a plane? was it some kind of accident or just some sick joke." so I took the paper to my mom and when I got in the living room my mom was crying and looking at the TV, and then she explained to me what had happen, and I was just so furious so mad the day that they said that ****** of Osama has done it, and since then I have wanted to kill him as any other natural patriot American , or that at least loves this country would feel, but I was just 10 and still makes me mad every time I think or see about it.

I was in the third grade. Though while it actually happened i was playing a game of touch football or something like that in gym class. I remember my best friend Sara came at me very fast and hit my forehead with her tooth. So i went to the nurse got my head all fixed up while i was in there no one bothered to tell me what all the commotion was about. I skipped back to my regular class and as I walked in i remember saying, " Ooh my uncle is flying in from Florida later!!!" Then my teacher told me that he probably wasn't coming and she pointed at the TV which showed the events taking place. At lunch that day I had no friends to play with, they were taking out of school because of what happened. The other thing I remember from lunch was the fact that we had police officers walking around the school answering questions and maybe guarding? I'm still not sure what that was about but then again I lived by Wright Pat. I was too young to understand what happened all I know is that day was possibly the worst in my life. I remember being afraid to walk outside thinking that a bomb could drop on me at any moment. But it didn't happen like that and now that I look back I'm sooo lucky. I didn't lose anyone that day and I'm so terribly sorry for those who did. God Bless you all.

Where was I? I was at work... at DuPont.
How did I find out? A news alert first came on in the office, then alarms starting going off at DuPont and we was placed on high alert and could not leave because DuPont made chimicals for Chemical Warfare in the past. I was scared, wanted to go home and be with my kids.

I was at work in the office. When I saw a commotion around the T V, mounted on the wall, I walked over to see what was going on. It was after the first plane had hit the WTC and news was beginning to cover it, but before the second plane hit.
Little work got done that day. We spent most of the time trying to keep up with what was going on.

We had just dropped of my daughter to pre-school, and on our way (1/2 way there) to an interview for a job. In our van we had a TV. We were listening to 95.5 KLOS Mark & Brian. I thought they were joking. I was sitting in the back putting my make up on and turned the TV on in time to see a replay of the 1st bldg, and saw the 2nd bldg as it happened. I couldb't beleive it at first, but is was real. My daughters school was only a couple of miles from LAX. They were evacuating every one from the area. It was crazy, it still is crazy. When will they stop, when we are all gone. Untill then remeber those who died for us, and live our lives the best we can. We are all one, we are humans.

I was in seventh grade. I was in the cafeteria eating lunch when two of my friends told people what was going on after seeing it on tv. I didn't really understand what was happening until I got to my next class and saw it on tv. Some people started crying. Then our principal came over the PA and told teachers to turn off the tvs. When I got home I watched tv nonstop.
