I am 5'8 and only wiegh 122 lbs.. According to a BMI chart I am gaunt! This seems strange because I have a good amount of visible muscle build on my stomach and arms...!? The average for my height it around 140...if I wieghed 140 in all muscle I am afraid I would look like I was on some sort of serious steroids and inflated by a pump...I eat lots of protein and work out regularly and almost always eat till i am nauseous...WHY DO I WIEGH SO LITTLE?

age:15
height:5'9"
muscle build:Above Average
wieght:122
....

about the 135 lb thing..tht was a lie lol...I am serious now.

okay, first off 5'8" and 122-140 is skinny. You would NOT look like a bodybuilder if you get your weight up. What you see is skinny man muscle. I know because I weighed 135lbs at 5'10". I had an awesome six pack because there was no bodyfat on me. I also never got any girls. When I put my weight up to 180lbs, I was able to keep the six pack and ladies were impressed.

You probably have a real bad diet. You eat junk food and not every 2-3 hours. If you were to clean up your diet you'd put on more weight, trust me, I know from experience.

Good luck on your quest for weight.

Hey ... BMI is just a guideline ... the mirror doesnt lie. Just as long as you are healthty and fit and you like what you see in the mirror (and the others like what they see as well) - ask Mr BMI to go fly a kite :P

I think it's in your genes to be little. You aren't full grown at 15. You will probably be 140 in 10 years and look really good. Don't worry about it!

You are thin, but gaunt.... nah. A lot of young men stay thin for years and years. My dad was always a thin man and he only started gaining weight in his mid-thirties. Everyone is not the same.

That does seem super skinny and lanky but those BMI charts aren't that great anyway.

Because your hormones are going crazy and you are growing. It won't be long before you will be complaining about the size of your gut.
