AB is length of the line segment .

The lenght is the distance between the points A and B.
The distance between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by the formula Dist = sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

therefore length, AB = sqrt((6+4)^2+(-2-5)^2)
= sqrt(100+49)
= sqrt 149
= 12.206555615733702951897855256623
