Yes, we haven't had another attack since 9/11, and by the way hating Bush won't make America any safer or more prosperous.

Yes, have we had another attack? No, of course there are a lot more things we need to do like securing our ports and cargo on planes and border control but 9/11 was a big wake up call for America and i think we are headed in the right direction.....God bless America

I don't know if we are more secure! or safe!
I do know that our intelligence has stepped up security to the highest degree! Were we really safe before 9/11. or was it a false security and that safety was broken in a most horrific way!
So many people fell down on their job, because what, they just could not imagine, happened!.
Even the terrorists were surprised at the damage they were able to do!

Tough call.
No, we haven't been attacked since 9/11, but not for lack of trying. I would give praise to the men and women who are doing their job to keep Americans safe, NOT Bush.
On the other hand, all you need to look at would be the government's SLOW reaction to helping the people of Katrina, the near fiasco of selling out our ports to Arab countries, the Billions of dollars unaccounted for that was supposed to help Iraq, and on and on...
There's enough blame to go around.

There were many lessons learned due to the 9/11 attacks. Many programs were implemented and people in general are more aware. For example, a hijacking will no longer be dealt with in a peaceful way. Hijackers will have to fight the whole plane now. We have made great strides, but are we fool proof? nope, I believe if their is a will there is a way.

No. Not by a long shot. Our borders are wide open, airport security is a joke, ports are unsecure, and we have more terrorists than ever before--being trained in Iraq and deployed elsewhere.
So whatever Bushco says about being "safe, but not yet safe" is a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously.
This man couldn't foresee the levees failing after Katrina struck, so how can you say that we are safe?
We're are NOT and never will be. No matter who says otherwise.

I think there are more eyes on the look out. Certain people have tried to hijack planes or blow planes up after 9-11 and all have failed. Bush said he would bring the fight to them and that ended up being the truth. Terrorist attacks are up, but the majority of them are in Iraq and Afganistan. Some people have tried to hijack cruise ships and have also failed.

No, we're not safer, although it is a sure bet bet that with elections coming up, the Republicans will see to it that you know what the "terror threat level" is in the coming months. It's almost as predictable as gas prices dropping just before elections. Whatever it takes to keep power!
Steve p: We hadn't been attacked on our soil before 9/11 either!
