Just be yourself, and be glad you're not a drone that thinks they have to follow the crowd. Good for you that you like what you like, don't worry about anyone calling you names. Be your own man!

Part of all that meanness is about being 14, for whatever reason, everyone is so mean and makes fun of each other at that age (13 was bad, too)

Thankfully, when you get a year or two older, they'll all grow out of it. I have always been an individual, and got made fun of in Jr high... in High school, the kids that were jerks in Jr high were really unpopular.... and ppl like me, well, I put the C in cool :-) Anyway, hang in there, it WILL get better.
PS- I like Rock WAY better too!

I had a similar problem with bullying, but it wasn't because of my music tastes. Tell someone, like a teacher. Bullying can really screw you up. Just look at me...anyway if nobody helps then talk to your mom. If that doesn't work try dad. If that STILL doesn't work then try to transfer. If all these don't work, then don't listen to any music at school at all. Tell people that you are tone-deaf, so music just sounds like crashing to you. Don't just take the sh it--anyone who tells you that is fvcked up.

If the violence get physical, GET OUT. I don't care if you start skipping school and going home, do not let them do that. Tell someone, even if you have to tell a neighbor to get your parents to listen. Don't wait until you are in the emergency with a broken arm to say "Hey mom and dad the bullying got a little out of control." How do you think they would react?

OK so got it?

Ugh... I can't get over that. Peopple just mostly like rap or pop or crap like that which i hate. I like rock. I am bugged the most in school, but i am well known, maybe really popular (i hate that word "popular") because i am good at sports; any sport at all! I am good at something else, so they look at me as me as someone else. That's how i got rid of it. But every dat when i have a mohawk (really a fohawk) they start getting on my nerves.

The Basic Point: Try to build a rep in something else so they can look at you differently, not as a rock type of person. That way, you are not a hypocrite and you are respected.

Dude email me or add me to Yahoo IM and we'll get you fixed up.

Origionally I wrote a really long answer to this but too many variables to work with. Lets just say it's a problem that is fixable. The fix won't happen overnight either.

Check out me tunes btw and tell me what you think.

I once got cornered by three country music fans who accused me of being queer for liking opera.

Let's just say they looked like queers when I was done with them and my wrist was bleeding because of the ringleader's lip I busted.

The next day, they were talking about Rossini's "Barbers of Seville" as if it were "Rent."
