Why is it that so many people can get on Welfare Assistance and there is nothing wrong with these people?

THere are so many people that get on this and I have seen them as being ABLE to get a job, this is not fair to people that seriously need this much needed help.

Nancy, I hope like hell that you do not have a string of bad luck or an illness and see what it is like to be on welfare. It is not at all what it is cracked up to be.

It's not that there is anything wrong with them it's that they claim to not being able to support the family they have and they need help. There are some people out there that do really need to assistance till they get back on thier feet but there are many others that take the system for granted and use it for all they can get. I think there should be a time limit to 6 months for assistance. In those 6 months these people are to get a job and day care to make it on thier own.

You tell me! Some of us need to work a daily grind for very little, and I have seen regular crowds of welfare recipients at expensive coffee shops, or in clubs gambling happily, and there are always reports of the drug dealing that goes on while the rest of us struggle to buy everyday items!Let's see what justification other answerers give you !

To buy votes for politicians. Same thing with social security. Why do old people get money just for living to age 65? Somebody that dies at 64 gets nothing, but as soon as you turn 65, you are magically entitled to live off my tax dollars for the rest of your life? WTF is that?

It's all just politicians using our tax dollars to bribe people to vote for them. It's really pretty sick if you think about it.

I propose a law banning politicians. Who's with me?
