For me, September 11th was a wake up call, I realized that I took for granted what it meant to be an american. I have never felt pain like the day of September 11th, and I hope I never do again. I understand was its like to mourn and grieve with an entire nation. 9/11, to me, was the day the world stood still, and I hope its a day I never forget.
3,047 UNJUSTICE deaths were a result of the cowardly attacks of that day. 3,521 children, CHILDREN lost their parents. That day was hell on earth in so many ways.
Please, feel free to say what you would like about 9/11 here, how it made you feel, where you were when it happened, how it affected you, etc.

I saw people sailing past my office window for nearly three hours and hitting the pavement three stories below my window.
I went home that day and never returned to NYC. I sold my home and moved away to a farm.
I miss Todd, Lisa, and Samantha very much.
Todd Hill was going to meet me for lunch on 9/11 and was crushed by the falling towers. (Todd had one short-coming, he was a Red Sox fan)
Lisa and Sam Egan were uplifting young woman, big smiles, always helpful, lovely in every way.
I am a devout democrat who voted for Bush in 2004 and I am proud I did. I would vote for him again if he could run. He has kept us safe and at the same time increased entitlement spending more than any President in history other than FDR. He has overturned a large portion of the "welfare reform" Clinton put in place, guess he was paying too much attention to his pants.

Yeah...9/11 that day will be with everyone forever. I was a senior in high school that year. I was sitting in English class when we were rushed to the library. We watched the live footage on a projector & all I could think was this is a dream. This can't be real. Then the second plane hits & we were freaked out. Then news flashes on the next plane.. then the last one. I was scared & sad at the same time. Man when the towers came crashing down I was just like stunned. Watching the live news broadcast and seeing ppl. jumping out of the building.. falling to there death it was just unbelieveable. I feel so bad for the families & friends of all the ppl. who had lost there lives that day. It was def. a wake up call for all of us. Its a def. wake up call for me.. it should be for everyone really. I know not to take things for granted. Life is what u make of it. Don't live ur life in regrets.. learn from your mistakes and move forward. I wonder if 9/11 wouldn't have happened would things be different?!?!?! I wish though it didn't happen but, it did. However, make me wonder like what if?!?! I will always remember that day.. I also will keep the families of those who lost there lives in my prayers.

As i watchd the towers fall in disbelief all i kept thinking was why and how could this be happening. I was so angry at the middle east for doing something so terrible. I was much younger then, i didn't know anything about WTC or that there even was such a thing (note: i'm not american). After that people started talking, cos i askd more questions and did more research. I found out about the american troops in the middle east and the fight for oil and the money hungry, hypocritical politicians. I realised that there were two sides to every story and that for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. I saw america in a completely different light. The reaction of the people of america changed my perspective, and their love for vengeance. How can one fight fire with with fire???

I was living in South Jersey at the time and a senior in high school. It was such a beautiful day...jeez the sky was this deep blue color with a slightly warm breeze. I walked into Genocide and Prejudice class (fitting eh?) and my teacher had put the TV on. There was the first tower going down. No one really knew what to do...the town is 2-3 hours from NYC and 3-4 from DC, so thankfully most did not have to deal with the horror of not knowing if their parent/sibling/friend was working in one of those buildings and they were hurt or worse.
We left for lunch around 12:30 and walked to the local Wawa (the best convience store ever!) and everyone was so quiet, it was eery.
I don't remember the rest of the day at school, everyone was in shock. We were supposed to have a soccer game that afternoon but it was postponed until the next day. When school was done for the day, driving home, it was sooo quiet in town. No noise.
Got home and watched the news for seemed like hours. It was so sad.
Next day, everyone was still in shock at school but there were lots of American flags and patriotism shown.
At the soccer game later, we had a moment of silence for the people who were killed on that fateful day. We sewed on American flags to our jerseys and I played with a tiny American flag in my right sock. It was just a small tribute to those heroes from a tiny town in south Jersey.
The days following, flags began popping up all over. In front of houses, on previously vacant flagpoles. But there was also this patriotism that went through not only our town, but the whole country.
We'll never forget the people lost on that day.
God Bless America

I felt as though someone close to me had died, although no one I knew actually did. There was one person I went to school with who was in the Pentagon when it was hit and I was thankful he was physically okay! I was angry, but I have come to peace with it now although I still think of it everyday. 9/11 are very prominent numbers in my life. My neighbor's daughter was born 9/11/01; my daughter weighed 9/11 when she was born, She and I always seem to look at the clock each night at 9:11...it may be coincidental to some, but to me it means more than that. People are nervous each year that it comes around. I say we are now safer on this day then any day...it is the rest of the year when I fret the most....

I feel that 9/11 has been used against the American people to say that money is vdry good and that being a human being is very bad. We really need to emotionally support each other now, during this time of an unwanted and unneeded war, for oil thatwe americans use up faster than the water on this planet, because we are in love with our cars. I really think as human beings we need each other and God more than oil and money in our lives in this post-9/11 world of ours.

I was working at a hospital. A co-worker and I had gone to the break room to get some coffee and the tv was on. We saw the second plane hit. My heart sank. We were all told that we would be receiving the survivors for treatment. Needless to say, none came in and that was as heartbreaking as seeing the plane hit. I still get that same feeling I had that day. I don't think that will ever go away. My heart goes out to all of the families affected.

you're generalizing and did not take a ballot on who's who and who stands for what because what you reported isn't authentic with maximum every person, no longer to practice liberals. The regulation is the regulation yet i'm particular that if it were you you may want to wish someone on your part. I watched the disaster spread from starting up to end and many people of all walks of existence lost their lives by using attack on the towers. I had also witnessed a peaceful later on. people desirous to placed aside their alterations. to love their neighbor a touch more desirable...to be tolerant of others and then POOF back to hating one yet another interior of per week. Who truly cares about those people settle for the victims friends and kin with out resorting to bigger violence it is directed on the incorrect people? what's that this doing yet causing more desirable strife and hate. What objective is it serving when you're not from now on perfect with your assumptions. that can make us all terrorists. to no longer be particular of all issues is an assumption. All has yet to be uncovered. How might want to you experience alienating those who had no longer something to do with what occurred or is it own?

It made me sad and scared and more aware. We bought cell phones and became a closer family.
Now, it still makes me sad.
