My boyfriend and I are going camping at the Two Harbors campground next weekend. I have a JetBoil camping stove I'd like to take with me, but I'm being told we can't bring any camp stove fuel at all on the boats. Has anyone else gone camping on Catalina recently? I'm wondering if most people just cook over a fire or resort to buying fuel on the island. After speaking with someone at the Two Harbors general store, I highly doubt fuel for my stove will be available. My boyfriend's considering buying a more typical stove, for which fuel is more likely available on the island. But I'm not sure it'd be worth buying fuel there for just one night. Any input would be great.

If your arriving in Avalon, there are a number of stores that sell fuel for stoves.
Even the Safeway in Avalon carries fuel most of the year.
If your going direct to Two Harbors there is a shop right of the dock that also carries fuel.

Am curious as to what type of stove you have that does not use normal (white gas) or propane small bottle?
