I use AVG Free Edition and can highly recommend it. See the site listed below to download. The virus definition files are updated several times a week and it can be set up to take care of things automatically.

Any working device you run will choose AntiVirus, Malware Scanners, and a Firewall to make certain optimal risk-free practices. New viruses and spyware are stepped forward daily. Even information companies found out IE 8 is subjected to unauthorized get right of entry to with a backdoor at the instant stumbled on. Apple is likewise subjected to viruses. ensure you install a appropriate notch protector like AVG/Avast/Norton/McAfee.

I agree with all the others that AVG is good. But I also installed Norton's. It caught a Trojan Horse that AVG didn't. It's only about 30 bucks. To me it's well worth the money not to have a virus, worm, or Trojan Horse.

TrendMicro offers free virus scans but not free protection software. This is what I use. Also try downoading Firefox and chances are you never will get a virus unless you do something really stupid. Just do a check every week or so before you go to bed from TrendMicro, use Firefox, and you should be perfecly safe. Enjoy!

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

Avast! is free for personal use and it has been rated as one of the best antivirus programs. AVG by grisoft is also good, but I prefer Avast! (I have used both)

I use Antivir and it's free also:

Or Avast is good too:
http://www.avast.com
I prefer Antivir because I've used Avast, and Antivir has caught more problems and had less infections.
