Why does my pdf print out with different margins than onscreen?

I have converted an Illustrator file to a pdf and when I view it on my screen, everything looks just right. When I print, however, the border on the right side is suddenly wider than the left side. I have printed to the correct size of paper but it is just all shifted left.
How can I get it to print with margins as they are in the orginal document?
Please help!

You need to make sure your margins are the same in Illustrator as they are in PDF Reader/Writer.

If you have the option when printing, select the option that states that you want to print what you see on the screen (can't remember the option name)
